Action Figures [Aug. 29th, 2005|05:26 pm]
Peter Pan Grownup

Wow, a Hook community! A great thing to see, especially since this movie seems to be almost universally ridiculed by critics. Of course, when I first saw the film, I was eight or nine, and it was the best thing in the world ever. Most of my friends felt the same way.

I see that most of you seem to be big fans of Rufio. I was always upset - even at age 8 - that Dante Basco was waaaaaay down the credits even though he had such a big role.

I wanted to ask if you guys collected the Hook action figures at the time of the film. I had quite a few, but there were always a couple I saw advertised but never actually saw in stores.

The ones i had...

Peter (regular, in green)
Peter (swashbuckling)
Peter (learn to fly)
Hook (regular outfit)
some pirate whose name I can't remember

Think that's it. Sadly, I think I only have Rufio, Ace, and learn-to-fly Peter now. Was there ever a Smee or Tinkerbell or Jack figure? I saw a couple of other special edition Peter figures advertised. One of them was Food Fight Peter, and I can't remember the other one...

Very nice to meet you all!

I never collected any of the toys (even now) because they don't look like the characters from the movie. I have the posters, trading cards (really useful because you can see scenes that were deleted out of the movie-Little Peter Pan from the Maggie's play fighting a Captain Hook), two t-shirts, bed set, and tons of books though. They all look more realistic to me.
Here is a list of all the Hook action figures that Mattel made (I'm assuming it is correct)-
If you ever want to try looking for any more of them I would try Ebay. This link I check, I have in the search not to look for Disney's Peter Pan.-
